RSF condemns the Sudanese Armed Forces massacre in Wad Madani

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemn the brutal acts of killings and heinous extrajudicial executions of civilians in the city of Wad Madani and its suburbs in the Gezia State. The crimes are committed by members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) militias and their allied battalions, linked to the terrorist Islamic Movement. These crimes targeted dozens of innocent citizens based on ethnic and regional grounds over the past two days.

Members of the security apparatus, including the so-called Special Operations Forces, the Sudan Shield Force, the Bara bin Malik Battalions, and remnants of the former regime, have conducted field executions within residential neighborhoods. Preliminary reports indicate that these atrocities have affected over 137 individuals. Circulating videos show individuals in SAF uniforms indiscriminately and hysterically executing victims by gunfire. These incidents reinforce a reality that the city of Wad Madani and its suburbs have descended into "jungle rule" following the infiltration of SAF elements and extremist forces.

Our forces call upon the Sudanese people and national entities to remain vigilant and alert to the conspiracies orchestrated by the terrorist Islamic Movement, which initiated the war in April 2023 in a desperate bid to cling to power. This ruthless agenda has come at the cost of countless Sudanese lives. We possess substantial evidence implicating this terrorist organization in the heinous crimes committed in the Gezira State, where they have tried in the past to incite divisions. Today, they are openly perpetrating genocide without disguise.

The brutal acts of killing committed against unarmed citizens in the absence of law only deepen our forces' position to continue their mission to fully restore the state and its institutions. Our goal is to end the tyranny of this bloody gang that has oppressed the Sudanese people and to establish a state founded on peace, justice, and good governance.
